General Rules:

* While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks, NWS posts or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.

* Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts, or posting multiple threads about a single topic.

* Advertising, spamming and trolling (and similar behaviors) are not allowed. This includes using the forum email and Private message system to spam other members.

* Please wait a reasonable amount of time before bumping posts.

* We also do not allow posts that are sexual in nature or violate DiscussMMA community standards. The DiscussMMA team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.

* Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed.

* Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed.

* While we are quite happy to have constructive comparative conversations about competitor's sites, we will not tolerate blatant adverts or the sort of "ooh look, yet another bulletin board" threads. Also, we would appreciate it if you refrain from blatant bashing of other sites.

* We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice.

* Please post in English! We do not have resources available to moderate every language. Non-English threads/posts will be removed.

* Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.

* You cannot post any affiliate or referral links, or post anything asking for a referral. Such posts will be subject to removal. If you want to post up an affiliate link contact Admin.

* Non-sponsoring members are to NOT have referral links in their postings, profile, or signature that aim to publicize a competitive website, conduct sales, or forward the cause of non-sponsoring entities.

* You cannot post advertisements or notices for contests. Unless aprroved by staff.

* Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed and your displayed post count may be adjusted accordingly. Nonsense posts will also be removed.

* We also reserve the right to ban anyone who willfully violates the forum rules, as access to our forums is a privilege and not a right. Let's try and remember that we are all guests.

Any threads/posts of these types will be deleted.


Advertising Services

We do not allow people to post threads or to send private messages or emails to users here that advertise or solicit any products or services. Explicit advertising and soliciting in sigs is also prohibited.

Prospective vendors, sponsors, and advertisers should refer to Admin for information on how to advertise on this site.

We go to great lengths to keep solicitation out of the discussion forums so that members do not have to weed through thread after thread of advertisements and solicitations in order to participate in conversation about our hobby. So the rules apply to both vendors and forum members.


Links in Sigs

Links in signatures must follow these guidelines:

* Linking to a supporting sites is fine, provided it is not a competitive site of DiscussMMA

* Duplicate links to the same URL in a sig are not allowed.



Avatars

Animated avatars are not allowed except where staff approval has been acquired. If approved, a staff member will load the avatar for you.

Avatars that may be confused with official staff avatars are not allowed.



Signature Size Limits

All signatures should not exceed the following size limits, and you can't have both text and images

* 500 CHARACTERS. Excluding image tags and code.

* Only vip members can have an image in there signature. (until we an afford to upgrade our server)

We also have some rules that apply for certain forums: VIP section.
* VIP members may be allowed one animated picture in sig pending size and KB content and staff approval.




Chit Chat forums

The Off-Topic and Talk forums are where members can gather to chat about almost things non-technical in nature. If you have a question that doesn't fit into any other forum, or just want to chat, this is the place. As a rule, talk forum subjects should be relevant to their respective forum or members.

-- And if you have any problems with the site or its members do not feel, however, that staff is unapproachable. We will try to resolve any issue asap. if you are having Issues with staff it may be taken up with staff members using the Private Messaging system. Attempting to confront staff in an open forum is not permitted, as it does not compliment the intent of either the forum or the subject of the thread. Failure to heed this warning can result in removal of or locking of the thread in question and suspension of member accounts.

--- The bottom line is that there is a right way and a wrong way to approach staff members about a grievance.


Be Civil!!! It's not too difficult to see when someone is being intentionally inflammatory.
